It's that time of the yeat again for the Strathsnow AGM! This year we've decided to host it in the debates chamber of the Union, thats Level 8 incase you didn't know. Just beside the priory bar, so handy for boozing. We've decided to do this becasue the past few years in bar home it has been very noisy and hard to hear speaches etc. The night will still be fairly casual, drinking etc.
Another Wednesday another social! Only this one is our last social before BUSC, less than 48 hours before we depart for France we want to see as many SUSCateers along as possible. Most of your assignments should be out of the way by now and we've even given you a week off (ok so it was St Paddys day) to recover from out last event!
Strathsnow is having a rail jam! That's right, for those of you who haven't heard already SUSC will be taking over Rottenrow gardens on Wednesday 24th Febuary and filling it with 22 tonnes of snow from our sponsors SNO!Zone. The day kicks off at 3pm with a practice session followed at 5 by a jam session. We already have prizes lined up from SNO!Zone, TSA, Planks Clothing and Red Bull. There will of course be entertainment to keep spectators and riders busy.
To enter you must email committee@strathsnow.org before Tuesday 23rd February, 6pm, with your student matriculation number, D.O.B and a contact phone number. Cost per entry is £6, registration will begin at 2pm on the day. If your not a student don't worry you can still compete.
The setup will consist of an in-situ down hand rail and a 5m down box. Helmets MUST be worn if you wish to compete. The practice session will be from 3 – 5pm followed by a 5 – 7pm jam session.
The categories covered will be: Male Student Snowboarder Female Student Snowboarder Male Student Skier Female Student Skier Open category
After the event Glasgow, Strathclyde, Caley Uni will be having an epic pub crawl taking in all our sponsored bars. Starting at 8pm in our own Bar HOME we will make our way to Walkabout and O'Couture as the evening goes on. This should be one hell of a social with some epic inter-uni banter and lots of cheap drinks. Make sure your there.
