Never tried skiing or boarding before? Tried one but fancy giving the other a shot? Or do u just fancy brushing up on your skills and getting ahead for the new season? Strathsnow has the answer!!! Whether it’s skiing, snowboarding or drinking that you want to work on. The first block of lessons will be running at Bellahouston Ski centre at the following times on the following dates:
Lessons are going to cost £30 per person, that includes the 6 hours of tuition plus any equipment hire than you may need
Skiing Levels:
Beginner - Never skied before
Intermediate - Can stop and do snowplough (pizza) turns.
Advanced / Intermediate – Small snowplough around corners with
parallel skis in between the turns.
Advanced - Parallel turns.
Snowboarding Levels:
Level 1 – Have never been on a board before
Level 2 – Can can control my speed and move from one side of the slope
to the other doing a zig zag
Level 3 – Moving onto a falling leaf and garland turns
Level 4 – Can link basic turns, changing edges
Level 5 – Working towards carving and more advanced f.s.
What to wear
When coming for lessons you should dress for the weather, we are going to be outside, in winter, in Scotland after all! You must have long sleeves and a pair of gloves to go onto the slope, (any sort of gloves will do as long as they cover your hands) if you don’t have a pair you can buy a pair of magic gloves at the ski centre.
