Competing for your University is a great opportunity to maximise your experience of student snowsports. Strathclyde has an excellent race team both skiing and snowboarding. If you’ve never tried racing before we highly recommend giving it a shot as a great way to improve your riding.
Ski Race training is due to start on the same week as lessons. The first session will be on Tuesday 19th October, 7 – 9pm at Bellahouston Ski Centre so please get your name down as soon as you can if you’re interested. The race training will run with 3 sessions per block. There will be more than one block though so don’t worry if you miss the first one. Costs still to be confirmed but we’ll keep you posted here and via email.
*In order to take part in ski race training riders must be able to ski fully parallel or have reached ‘advanced’ level lessons.
Unfotunately we will not be running any regular snowboard race training although we will have informal race training sessions prior to main race events. Racing is a great opportunity to compete for the the more experienced rider who is maybe not so keen on freestyle.
